Columbus Flea was founded in 2010 as a way to give local makers, artists, and vintage dealers a way to launch their brands and sell some goods. We host four events a year, one per season, and feature 50+ vendors carrying quality wares of all kinds (think textiles, ceramics, handmade jewelry, original artwork, records, leather goods, plants, and more). We have raised money for charitable organizations such as the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio and we’re proud to be entering our ninth year of events.
Since founding the organization, I have overseen the vendor selection, communication, and all marketing initiatives. I have built a strong social media presence that brings people to our events. Partnering with my good friend and collaborator, Erica Anderson, I develop product (e.g., Flea Bag totes and Flea Your Mind t-shirts) to help raise awareness (and some extra coin for local charities). We often team up with our vendors for new merchandise in order to highlight their crafts and to keep the newness coming. Our markets are consistently packed and a good time is always had by all.
